CS 290B and CS 576
This is an introductory course in the field of human-computer interaction held at the University of Rochester in the Dept. of Computer Science in Fall 2009.
The goal of the course is to teach students how to design and evaluate user interfaces by understanding real end users, their routines, and their tasks. This material is broadly applicable to the design of a range of user interfaces, including software for PCs (be it Mac or Windows), web pages, and new age interfaces like Microsoft Surface, Apple's iPhone, Nintendo's Wii, etc.
It is available for both undergraduate and graduate students, listed as two courses in the calendar. Both classes run concurrently.
Time: Tues and Thurs, 3:25-4:40 pm
